“The Revenant” led all films with 12 nominations for the 88th Academy Awards, announced Thursday morning.
The film, about a 19th-century frontiersman, earned nominations for best picture, best director and actor Leonardo DiCaprio’s performance, among many others.
Funny man, Chris Rock will host the 88th Academy Awards which will take place on Feb. 28 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, and will be televised live by ABC at 7 p.m. ET/ 4 p.m. PST.
