After years of strict population control, China has dropped its infamous “one child per family” policy.
The one child per family policy was enforced through outrageous fines of up to $30,000 for families that went ahead to have second children.
However, China’s aging population has influenced its decision to increase the number of children per family from one to Two. The policy takes effect today and all “second babies” born from today will be considered legal.
The new policy also provided an extended maternity leave for women.
