You just had to be at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos on Sunday night to see the length media mogul, Mo Abudu went to premiere FIFTY the movie.
From the exquisite Red Carpet to a spectacular performance by King Sunny Ade to the premier itself, no stone was left unturned as guests enjoyed every minute of the star studded event. Not forgetting the Old Skool After party by legendary DJ Jimmy Jatt.
Why Eko Hotels?
Seeing the calibre of guests who cameout for the world premier of FIFTY, one would know why Mo Abudu settled for the venue. Aside the fact that Eko hotels remains the No1 venue of choice for major events in Nigeria, #OSG learnt it was picked because the media mogul wanted a venue that could take care of the 4-in-1 event. This is because the Red Carpet, music performance, movie screening and the old Skool after party were all held at the same venue, and there was need to keep everybody under one roof.

With so many of Corporate and Social Nigerians under one roof for the biggest event of the year, exciting things were bound to happen. And oh boy, did the FIFTY world premier deliver.

The evening began with over 200 celebrities—not to mention all of Corporate and top personalities at the exquisite red carpet. #OSG lenses spotted Grace Egbagbe, Sen. The red carpet finally came alive when the star cast of the movie stepped on the red carpet. Trust the paparazzi, they were all over Dakore Akande, Nse Ikpe Etim, Ireti Doyle and Omoni Oboli when the arrived the venue. I must add, the ladies were looking gorgeous all night.

Media personality, Mo Abudu never fails to shine when it matters most. The Lagos socialite was the cynosure of all eyes at the premiere of FIFTY when she stepped out in an embellished outfit by Nigeria’s foremost fashion designer – Lanre Da Silva Ajayi. Described by Forbes as “Africa’s Most Successful Woman”, Mo officially announced her entry to the big leagues. From talk show host to EbonyLife TV and now film production, the world should watch out for this iconic lady in 2016.

Recall that Sunny Ade also headline the official launch of EbonyLife TV some years back.

Top socialite, Terry Wayas was spotted at the event looking smart and fashionable in his trademark suit. He didn’t come to the event alone but was in the company of a friend.

At past 8pm, the Minister of transport, Rotimi Amarachi in company of oil tycoon Tonye Cole walked into the venue. The former Rivers State governor was looking refreshed and relaxed after a difficult political battle to get nominated as a Federal minister.
How can we forget the stunning beauty of the wife to the Senate President, Toyin Saraki. The former Kwara State First Lady was in town to show love to her friend of many years.

About the Movie
‘Fifty’ captures a few pivotal days in the lives of four Nigeria women at the pinnacle of their careers. Meet Tola, Elizabeth, Maria and Kate four friends forced at midlife to take inventory of their personal lives, while juggling careers and family against the sprawling backdrops of the upper middle-class neighbourhoods of Ikoyi and Victoria Island in Lagos.
