The World Health Organisation (WHO) has revealed that processed meat such as sausage and even red meat are all possible causes of cancer.
WHO’s International Agency for Research (IARC) on Cancer based its findings on studies conducted across continents, sampling 800 studies. You can read the research findings here
The research concluded that processed meat is “carcinogenic to humans”, in pretty much the same manner as a cigarette. Therefore, consumption of processed meat increases the risk of colorectal, pancreatic as well as prostrate cancer.
