Forget the cinema, IndieView Lagos – the only event of its kind in Lagos – sets the tone on a breezy night at the amphitheater at Freedom Park, Lagos.
IndieView Lagos is an outdoor cinema initiative hosted by Endgame Media. Occurring every two months at Lagos’ Freedom Park, the FREE event consists of screenings of independent films produced by African filmmakers, followed by an engaging Q&A discussion with present featured filmmakers, film industry insiders, scholars and enthusiasts.
With the aim of expanding and encouraging diverse narratives in contemporary African cinema, each event features a selection of films curated by the organizers that highlight the state of contemporary independent African filmmaking.
Hosted by Big Tak & ShedyK, attendees enjoy great films, amazing popcorn and a delicious selection of drinks amidst film viewers and filmmakers; it’s a film lover’s dream. You get to watch some of the most enchanting of short films made in Nigeria by Nigerians, with the inclusion of independent films from the rest of Africa. In addition to viewing our selection of chosen films for the night, we give viewers a chance to pick the filmmakers’ brains in our mini Q&A sessions, hosted between flicks.
The event kicks off at 6pm at the Freedom Park Amphitheatre. N300 gets you in Freedom Park. Join us this month on Sunday, October 25th from 6pm to be a part of these ongoing creative sessions.
Come through for a unique night at the movies!
