A deadly explosion hit Thailand’s capital, Bangkok, today, killing 18 people and leaving 78 people requiring medical attention.
A bomb exploded at a commercial center around 7:20 pm local time inside the Erawan Shrine with reports that a second bomb was defused just in time to prevent a second explosion.
As of the time of writing this report, there has been no claim of responsibility from any group as policemen shut down offices around the Erawan shrine.
The Erawan shrine is a Hindu shrine which attracts a good number of tourists and it is assumed that the bomb blast targeted tourists.
