Large groups of people gathered at the Independence Stadium in Lusaka, all there to remember the air crash that killed the country’s national football team 20 years ago.
The military flight, en route to a world cup qualifier in Senegal, crashed into the ocean shortly after refuelling in Gabon.
Thirty people were killed, reports the BBC (UK), 18 of which made up the national football team. But families attending the remembrance were not just sad over the loss – they also feel angry because, two decades later, there is still no final report on what happened to make the flight crash.
