African billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote has urged young Africans to believe in the future of the continent and contribute to its development instead of seeking opportunities abroad. Speaking during a session with Norges Bank Investment Management, Dangote advised youths across Africa to work hard, remain hopeful, and stay committed to building stronger economies within the continent.
According to the President of the Dangote Group, young people must believe that Africa’s future will be better than its current situation. “My advice to young African people is to work hard and also have the belief that the future is greater than the current situation that we are in,” Dangote said.
He described Africa as “a promised land,” stressing that the continent has enormous opportunities capable of transforming the lives of millions if its people remain committed to growth and development. Dangote further encouraged Africans to stay back and collectively build the continent rather than leaving in search of greener pastures elsewhere.
“We should stay at home and make sure we collectively build our continent rather than just flying out somewhere else,” he added.
