Popular comedian and singer Carter Efe has once again spoken openly about his relationship with Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, revealing that despite his disappointment, he still has deep love and admiration for the award-winning singer.
Speaking during an interview with BBC News Pidgin, Carter Efe admitted that his feelings towards Wizkid have always been genuine. According to him, he loves Wizkid’s music, fashion sense, talent, and overall craft, stressing that his only issue has always been with the singer’s personality.
“I love Wizkid, I no go lie. I love it. I love him, I love his craft, I love his music, style,” Carter Efe said during the interview. “Na only his personality I get issue with.”
The entertainer explained that he showed Wizkid massive love and support over the years, but felt the same energy was never returned. He added that although he constantly celebrated the singer publicly and defended him online, the relationship never became mutual in the way he expected.
“I show that guy love, he no show me love,” he said candidly.
Despite his disappointment, Carter Efe made it clear that he does not hate Wizkid and remains one of his biggest admirers.
