There are many reasons why we love the internet but whistle blowing has to top that list.
Thanks to the internet, we have this letter detailing what the West African Examination Council (WAEC) describes as ‘data processing costs’ after a company asked the exam body to provide details of outstanding performers in the May/June examination.
Earlier in the week, Nigeria’s finance minister alleged at a budget defense that despite making 24 billion Naira in revenue, WAEC only remitted N2 million to the Federation account last year.
Dr. Iyi Uwadiae, registrar of WAEC faulted the minister’s claims and said that students merely pay for “operational/management costs”.
