Following the global success of a video featuring football player Victor Osimhen dancing fervently to his iconic song “Beru Ba Mope,” Nigerian music icon Yinka Ayefele responded.
The song, from Ayefele’s 2005 Fulfilment album, sparked internet enthusiasm as fans saw Osimhen perform and display his vivacious dances.
The popular video shows Osimhen, who just celebrated winning two trophies with Galatasaray, a Turkish football powerhouse, dancing enthusiastically and singing the lyrics with ease.
The part of the Yoruba song that drew attention was:
“Anything they like, people can say. I will just be looking at them. It’s their problem. It’s their work and mine is to be progressing.”

The line was read by many internet users as a subtly critical reaction to the recent incident.
John, a man claiming to be connected to Victor Osimhen and to have gone to the same elementary school, accused the striker of ignoring his extended family.
John added that after his wife passed away, the community had once donated money to help Osimhen’s father, Patrick, finish the customary marriage ceremonies, according to a story by GistLover.
Yinka Ayefele, clearly pleased with the video, reposted the clip on social media and captioned it:
“Victor Osimhen vibing to YINKA AYEFELE’S FULFILMENT. #viralreels Victor Osimhen.”
