“So sad that the oldest FUJI MUSICIAN, ALHAJI LOVE AZEEZ ADIO OLADEJI, gave up the ghost this evening after a brief illness @ the ripe age of 81 successful & fulfilled years on the living planet,” Abiodun wrote.

Love Azeez played an important role in the early development of Fuji music. The genre began in Lagos in the 1960s and later rose to wider popularity through icons like Ayinde Barrister. Azeez stood among the early musicians who helped build its foundation.
He spent decades in the industry. During that time, he earned respect from fellow Fuji artists and fans of traditional Yoruba music.
