Students and staff of Lagos State University, LASU, have kept off from the campus following the murder of a rising hip-hop artiste, Olaniyan Damilola, popularly known as Damino Damoche.
The school management and the students union have reacted to the murder of the student.
The university’s Director of Press and Public Relations, Dr. Sola Fosudo condemned the murder in its entirety and called on the police and other security agencies to unravel the mystery behind the heinous act and bring the perpetrators to book.
Fosudo however, condoled with the family of late musicians, assuring them that the school authority will do all within its power to assist security agents bring the killers to book.
A member of the SUG who preferred anonymity, said the students leadership has condemned the attack on one of its own and has vowed to follow the case until the perpetrators of the dastardly act were punished according to the dictates of law.
Damino Damoche was shot dead Thursday afternoon by suspected cultists outside the school premises.
He was shot twice, in the head and on the left hand, with what appeared to be a high caliber weapon.
