A fresh case of rape is triggering public outcry in India as rape continues to be a societal scourge.

Despite passing more stringent laws following the rape of a 23 year old woman to death on a bus in 2012, the incidence of rape remains prevalent.

Two men have been charged to court following the rape of a 28 year old woman on a bus in Uttar Pradesh district.
Bus conductor Ishwari Prasad and helper Shiv Kumar allegedly forced the woman to take alcohol before raping her in the presence of her three year old daughter.

She was raped inside the bus at the bus station while her three year old daughter his and watched. Her newborn son was also allegedly killed by her rapists.
