Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially husband and wife after saying “I do” at New York’s Madison Square Garden. Their wedding ended days of speculation and marked a new chapter in one of the world’s most talked-about celebrity relationships.

Wedding Draws Huge Crowd

People first reported the marriage, while the Associated Press confirmed the wedding took place on Friday. Fans outside the venue also saw digital signs that read, “JUST&T MARRIED!”

Police increased security around Madison Square Garden as large crowds gathered. Authorities closed nearby streets, and trucks arrived with equipment before the ceremony. Reports said nearly 1,000 guests attended the wedding. Stevie Nicks and Tim McGraw also performed during the celebration.

Engagement Captured Global Attention

The couple announced their engagement on Aug. 26, 2025. They shared a photo of Kelce proposing to Swift in a flower garden. They captioned the post, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” The post also showed Swift’s large diamond engagement ring.

Jewellery designer Kindred Lubeck created the ring with Artifex Fine Jewellery. Kelce reportedly helped design it using old mine and rectangle-cut diamonds with antique-inspired details.

Kelce Opens Up About Their Relationship

Weeks before the engagement announcement, Swift appeared on Kelce and his brother Jason’s New Heights podcast to reveal her album, The Life of a Showgirl. The episode reportedly earned 13 million YouTube views in its first 24 hours. It also attracted 1.3 million live viewers, setting a Guinness World Record.

Kelce later discussed their relationship in an interview with GQ.

“I hadn’t experienced somebody in the same shoes as me, having a partner who understands the scrutiny, understands the ups and downs of being in front of millions,” he told GQ. “That was very relatable, seeing how exhausted she would get after shows. She may not think of herself as an athlete. She will never tell anyone that she is an athlete. But I’ve seen what she goes through. I’ve seen the amount of work that she puts into her body, and it’s mind-blowing.
