New “TS” billboards for Toy Story 5 have sparked fresh rumours that Taylor Swift may have a role in the upcoming Pixar film.
Fans quickly noticed that the ads feature the letters “TS” and 13 cartoon clouds. While “TS” can stand for Toy Story, many Swifties see the number 13 as a clear nod to the singer.
The new campaign has added fuel to rumours that have circulated for months. Fans previously spotted a countdown clock on Swift’s website against a cloud background that looked similar to the wallpaper in the Toy Story films.
Neither Disney nor Swift has commented on the speculation.
Fans have suggested several possibilities. Some believe Swift could voice a character. Others think she may contribute a song or take part in another project linked to the film.
Director Andrew Stanton recently addressed reports that Swift recorded music for Toy Story 5. He said the rumours “surprised us. We’d be frickin’ honoured.”
However, he ruled out one popular theory. Stanton said, “The sad truth is, we watched the movie being mixed last week, done, and the song at the end of that was not Taylor Swift’s song.”
His comments confirm that Swift did not record the movie’s end-credits track. Still, they do not rule out another type of involvement.
