Afghanistan has come under increasing attack from Taliban attackers in the past two months, averaging two bomb blasts every two weeks. The Taliban has again claimed responsibility for a suicide attack which took place yesterday near an army camp in the Dahdadi district.
A suicide bomber killed three people and injured 18 people when he blew himself up beside an army minibus. Afghan officials have confirmed that the bomber was on foot.
The Taliban orchestrated a similar attack outside a police station in the capital, Kabul, on Monday which killed at least 20 people and injured 29 others.
