Bishop David Oyedepo, the general overseer of the Living Faith Church worldwide, has warned those criticising the school fees charged by Covenant University to stop doing so else they will incur the wrath of God.
Oyedepo made the statement during a telecast ahead of the 2016 edition of the church’s annual convention of the church.
According to him, critics were speaking in ignorance and that the fees charged by the school was ordained by God.
Oyedepo said it took his intervention before one of such critics who was smitten with a strange plague of chronic mouth odour over the act. He only received spiritual pardon following his confession.
He said what students pay could not be compared with what obtained elsewhere that there were even no facilities.
“The school fees has God’s approval and is in accordance with the quality of facilities provided by the university in meeting the educational needs of the nation,” he said.
The cleric said the school was a godly agenda to meet the demands of raising godly children in a conducive learning environment, and prayed for resources for parents to “always meet the demands of the time”.
Oyedepo said the church is playing a pioneering role in pushing for educational excellence in all front and had concluded plans to establish offshore universities.
He said a fully automated Bible press by the church had been completed and would be launched soon.
Quoting some verses of the Bible, Oyedepo said the country’s current economic situation had been predicted but that committed Christians would be exempted.
He declared the theme of this year’s Shiloh, holding between December 6 and December 10, as ‘My Case is Different’.
The least amount paid by a student admitted into 100 level in Covenant is N799,500 per session.
Oyedepo also has Landmark, a private university, situated in his Omu-Aran hometown in Kwara state.
