Siraheem professional exit from music industry has been announced by the emerging Nigerian artist, who says personal commitments influenced his decision. Siraheem, the son of businessman Rasaq Okoya, described music as a hobby he originally created with friends for bonding and connection.
Over the past year, however, balancing music alongside his other commitments became increasingly difficult, making professional dedication harder for Siraheem.
In an emotional statement, Siraheem reflected on a remarkable musical journey filled with memorable performances, online moments, and unforgettable experiences. He recalled shutting down the internet repeatedly while performing major shows that created memories he expects to carry throughout life.
The young artist also expressed gratitude for recognition from musicians he admired while growing up, describing those moments as deeply meaningful. According to Siraheem, his career began casually before gradually developing into something requiring greater effort, patience, commitment, and professional responsibility.
He acknowledged that maintaining those standards became increasingly challenging while managing other responsibilities outside his growing musical career during recent months. Siraheem therefore decided to stop releasing new music, describing the move as a professional exit owed to his supporters and colleagues.
He thanked fans, collaborators, and individuals who invested resources, encouragement, and belief throughout his journey, saying their support remained deeply appreciated. Despite leaving music professionally, Siraheem stressed that creativity remains central to his identity and promised to explore different artistic opportunities ahead.
The artist revealed plans to diversify his creative interests into other fields while assuring followers that his best work remains forthcoming. Interestingly, Siraheem admitted that music continues serving as therapy for him, leaving open the possibility of releasing previously recorded material.
He revealed that he spent the past year working extensively and believes those sessions produced the strongest material of his career. Although the current decision closes what he calls the “Siraheem Music” era, he suggested circumstances could eventually bring another project forward. His statement ultimately leaves the door open, with Siraheem emphasizing that nobody can predict what the future might eventually hold.
