Nigerian influencer Sarah Martins has criticised her disappointing business class flight to Canada, citing discomfort and missing amenities. The influencer expressed frustration through Instagram, questioning why she should spend heavily on business class without adequate comfort.
Martins complained that the aircraft lacked a television, which she expected from an expensive business class experience. According to the influencer, the long-haul journey became particularly uncomfortable because she experiences knee pain during extended flights.
She explained that comfort, rather than appearance or luxury, motivates her decision to purchase business class tickets. For Martins, the flight failed to provide the comfort and premium experience she expected after paying substantially more.
Her Instagram post included photographs from inside the aircraft, showing her eating during the journey while wrapped under a blanket. Screenshots from her private messages also showed her expressing disappointment about what she considered an economy-like experience.
Martins questioned the value of paying business class prices when passengers receive fewer premium features than expected during long flights. She described the journey as unbearable and disappointing, particularly because Canada requires considerable travel time from Nigeria.
Business class typically offers additional comfort and services, although specific amenities can vary significantly between airlines and aircraft. Some aircraft provide lie-flat seats, entertainment systems and enhanced dining, while others offer fewer features depending on configuration.
The influencer ended her complaint by saying her summer trip was not going as planned after the frustrating flight experience.
