It’s World Vitiligo Day, a global event around the world.
Eric shared his story on Vitiligo. Read below;
When I was born, a little patch of vitiligo was on my chest. The doctors initially thought it was a birthmark but realized it was vitiligo after it started to grow. What they tell you as a kid scares the shit out of you: skin cancer, spots everywhere, vitiligoans battle depression, you WILL look weird. It takes yourself to realize that not only is this a totally reasonable disease, but you have been shown the ultimate secret. You have been kissed by who ever is watching us in the sky. Not only will you stand out, but you will never be the same, making you the youest of YOU. Vitiligo was never meant to hold you back. It was meant to show you how rare you are. How rare it is to find the same person. When it comes down to it, we are all different. Even people with vitiligo, individually their spots make them unique. Embrace the fact that you are different. Feel blessed you are created in his eyes.
