Co-star of Box office chart topper “Ride Along 2”, Ice Cube was on the Graham Norton show weighing in on the current wave of controversy surrounding the Oscars.

He disclosed that although he’s not attending the award, he doesn’t consider it a boycott because “I never used to go anyway!”

Jada Pinkett Smith, Will Smith and Spike Lee have all publicly announced that they are boycotting the Awards because no person of color was nominated.

Ice Cube explained that the motivation for making movies “are the fans” after Ride Along 2 proved to be a hit, earning $34 million on the weekend of its release.
