Nollywood actor Odunlade Adekola has recounted how he met his wife, Ruth Abosede Adekola, and expressed his intention to marry her about 22 years ago.
The 49-year-old actor shared the story in an Instagram post on Monday while celebrating her birthday.
“I saw Madam Ruth Abosede Adekola about 22 years ago!” he wrote.
“I walked up to her and said, ‘My friend! I see what I want in you. Can you be mine?’
He said he became fully engaged to Ruth about 20 years ago, describing her as the mother of his children.
“20 years ago, I got fully engaged to my baby, the MOTHER of our KINGS. Deaconess Ruth Abosede Adekola,” he added.
Adekola also praised his wife as his “number one fan” and reaffirmed his commitment to her. He prayed for God’s continued favour on their household.
The actor wished Ruth a happy birthday and invited his followers to celebrate her alongside him.
The couple married in 2003 and have four children together.
Adekola began his acting career in 1996. That same year, he joined the Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners.
