Niniola Apata has had a great 2017, apart from releasing her debut album in that year and going on a U.K media tour, she had wonderful collaborations and was declared female vocalist of the year at the Nigeria Teens choice awards.
Niniola is a singer and songwriter. She rose to recognition in 2013 after finishing third runner-up on the sixth season of Project Fame West Africa.
Upon the release of her breakthrough debut single “Ibadi”, Niniola was nominated in the “Most Promising Act to Watch” category at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
The afro-house queen, turned 30 last year and she titled her released album “This is Me”, featuring Terry Apala, Charmant, Devin Di Dakta and Patoranking as guest appearances.
Niniola offers a fusion of melody, sexuality and dance to her music, not failing to depict her African culture.
Having released hit track ‘Maradona’ in March 2017, Niniola started off the year confidently which resonated all through the year.
Her collaboration with Yung6ix “Gbe seyin” and her collaboration with Mayhem “don’t stop” was released in November. Both songs enjoyed media acclaim.
Niniola has also dropped another African inspired single ‘Saro’ this year , working with frequent collaborator Sarz, Niniola has gotten better and we look forward to what she has for 2018.
