Ibidun Ighodalo died in the early hours of Sunday morning of suspected cardiac arrest while in Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital, where she had gone to set up isolation centres for the Rivers State Government.
On Wednesday 18 June, 2020, the husband, founder and pastor of Trinity House church Itua-Ighodalo, held a service of songs and candlelight in honour of his late wife, Ibidunni Ighodalo who would have clocked 40 on July 19.
During the service, her daughter gave a passionate rendition while singing a thanksgiving song. Other gospel artistes who performed at the service of songs include, Tope Alabi, Efe Nathan, Sammie Okposo, Tosin Martins, Buchi, Bee-Jay Sax and others.
The popular event planner and wife of the Senior Pastor of Trinity House Church was also the founder of Ibidunni Ighodalo Foundation, a non-profit organization where she had helped raise awareness about infertility and also provided grants for couples that require fertility treatments such as In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Intrauterine Insemination. Also she had assisted couples going through childbearing challenges by providing spiritual, financial and psychological support.
