Nollywood actor Femi Adebayo has taken to social media to honour his father, Adebayo Salami, with a touching birthday tribute.
Femi Adebayo described his father as his “mentor and teacher” for the impact he made and is still making in his life.
Sharing heartfelt words alongside celebratory photos, Femi praised his fatherโs influence on his life and career, stirring warm reactions from fans and colleagues alike.
Femi Adebayo said:
“To the man that birthed meโฆ my Father, my Mentor, my Leader, my Teacher.” Today, I celebrate you not just for being my father, but for being a pillar in our industry, a fountain of wisdom, and a living legend.

Femi who recently won the Best Actor in a Supporting Role in the 2024 Africa Movie Academy Awards for his role in Jagun Jagun, further prayed for his father, he said:
May Allah (SWT) continue to grant you sound health, unending peace, and light upon light. May your days be long and filled with barakah. Oun gbogbo te fi n fara balแบน, ko ni di asan laye yin, Sir. You are deeply loved, respected, and celebrated โ today and always. Happy Birthday, Daddy.
The 46-year-old then took his social media page to write a heartfelt poem for his dad, saying:
Daddy, your life is a light
A living testimony of grace, resilience, and purpose.
From the big screen to our hearts, your presence has blessed not just your family, but an entire nationAs you celebrate another year, I pray:
May Allah (SWT) increase you in health, peace, and contentment ๐

Femi Adebayo kicked off his acting journey in 1985, making his debut in Ogun Ajaye, his fatherโs first film.
Since then, he has appeared in more than 500 Nigerian movies and has earned widespread recognition, including four Best Yoruba Actor awards at the prestigious African Film Awards.
