Mr Macaroni, the Nigerian skit maker and actor, has earned a master’s degree with distinction in Performance (Acting) from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in the United Kingdom.
The actor, whose real name is Debo Adedayo, announced the achievement in an Instagram post on Wednesday. He shared a video of himself in full graduation regalia at the ceremony.
He said the programme challenged him in many ways but helped him grow personally and professionally.
“Master of Arts with Distinction in Performance (Acting) from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Completing this degree challenged me in so many ways, but I am glad to have embarked on this journey of personal and professional development,” he wrote.
Mr Macaroni appreciates family, fans
The entertainer also thanked God, his family, close friends and fans for supporting his career.
“Forever grateful to God for his blessings which I can never deny. Thankful to my family and the best friends in the world for their incredible love and support. And to everyone who has been riding with me on my journey as an artist, with all my heart, thank you. Cheers to greater things ahead.”
Actor’s academic and acting career
Mr Macaroni previously earned a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts and Film Studies from Redeemer’s University in Nigeria. He graduated in 2018.
In 2025, he completed an advanced acting course at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London.
The actor has featured in several Yoruba and English-language films. His credits include ‘Jagun Jagun’, ‘Lockdown Love’, ‘Atiko’, ‘Anikulapo’, ‘Freedom Way’ and ‘Lisabi’.
More recently, he was named among the cast of an upcoming stage adaptation of Howard Brenton’s historical play, ‘55 Days’.
