If you work (work, work, work, work, work) hard at your studies, Rihannaย may help you pay for college.
Higher education is expensive, and as a result many donโt get the opportunity to attend university, but thanks to Rihanna, someย students will now be granted the access to a better education.
The singer has announced a new global scholarship program, which will assist students from various countries in attaining a U.S. university education.
Residents of Barbados, Brazil, Cuba, Haiti, Guyana, Jamaica, and the U.S. who have been accepted to four-year programs in America will qualify for the scholarships, which will come through Rihโs Clara Lionel Foundation. Those selected, based on need, will get between $5,000 and $50,000 towards their education, which can be renewed for each of the three additional years of their bachelorโs degree.
โTo be able to give the gift of an education is actually an honour,โ Rihanna says in a statement.โHigher education will help provide perspective, opportunities and learning to a group of kids who really deserve it. I am thrilled to be able to do this.โ
