Malawi has appointed its first female chief justice.
Judge Anastarzia Msosa comes from the High Court and Supreme Court Of Appeal, stepping into the role of running the country’s judiciary. She has also been Chairperson of Malawi’s electoral commission.
Msosa was nominated for the job after previous Chief Justice, Judge Lovemore Munlo, retired to pursue a career in politics.
