Lassa Fever Reported In Rivers State

Following a Lassa fever outbreak in Taraba state, another case of Lassa fever has been reported in Rivers.
A nursing mother and her newborn child are reported to have died from Lassa fever.

The Rivers state government has closed two clinics in Port Harcourt as the government tries to prevent an outbreak.

Lassa fever is a deadly virus spread by contact with infected rodents.
