Kim Kardashian does not approve of the way Caitlyn Jenner depicted her mother, Kris Jenner, in Caitlyn’s new memoir The Secrets of My Life.
“My heart breaks for my mom,” Kardashian told Ellen DeGeneres on DeGeneres’ eponymous daytime talk show. “Because I feel like she’s been through so much.” She said she feels like Caitlyn is not being honest about “certain things” about Kris and other facts in the book and when she promotes the memoir. “I just feel like it’s unfair, things aren’t truthful.”
Kardashian also spoke out about the Paris robbery, saying that she felt that experience has changed her into a better person.
“I feel like that was so meant to happen to me,” Kardashian said, starting to tear up. “I’m such a different person.”
“Things happen in your life to teach you things. I was definitely materialistic before,” she said, adding, “I’m so happy that my kids get this me. I just don’t care about that stuff anymore.”
Kardashian, who was bare of jewels, said her lawyers told her the robbers had been following her for two years and watching her in interviews and on social media when she would talk about expensive jewelry. After the robbery, Kardashian said she doesn’t know if she’ll ever wear real jewelry again.
DeGeneres interjected some comic relief when Kardashian recounted the incident, saying that the robbers had asked the hotel doorman, “Where’s the rapper’s wife?”
“How dare them not know your name,” joked DeGeneres.
