The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board has announced the cut-off marks for admission into institutions of higher learning in the country. The examination board has set 160 as the cut-off mark for admission into Nigerian universities for the 2019/2020 academic session, 120 for polytechnics while colleges of education and other innovative institutions stands at 100.
The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu who was represented by the Minister of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba directed JAMB and tertiary institutions to proceed with the conduct of 2020/2021 admissions.
He said admission processes are expected to commence in August based on the guidelines released by JAMB. He also appealed to JAMB and other tertiary institutions to consider candidates with previous years’ Senior School Certificate Examination and other qualifying results for the admission process due to the Covid-19 health crisis.
