The iPhone Duo is now available across the United States, marking Apple’s first major entry into the foldable smartphone market. Customers can purchase this highly anticipated device online, through Apple’s Store app, and at participating retail locations starting this Friday.

Apple introduced the iPhone Duo with a foldable design that opens into its largest-ever iPhone display, supporting multitasking and entertainment. When opened, its inner screen offers fifty percent more display area than the iPhone 18 Pro Max, Apple officially says.

Closed, the phone features a compact 5.4-inch outer display designed for quick interactions while keeping the device pocket-friendly and portable. Apple powers the iPhone Duo with its A20 Pro chip and a dual-battery architecture specifically designed to support all-day use.

The company also highlights iOS 27, which adapts its interface to the phone’s changing form and supports Apple Intelligence features. U.S. pricing starts at $1,999 for the 256GB model, while higher-storage configurations cost more, reaching $3,199 for 2TB storage capacity.

Strong preorder demand has already created supply concerns, with reports indicating that initial online allocations sold out quickly after launch. Apple says shoppers can explore trade-in credits, financing, carrier promotions, and leasing options to reduce their upfront purchase costs significantly.

However, early reviews have praised the hinge and foldable display while raising concerns about camera limitations and third-party app compatibility. The iPhone Duo launch gives Apple a new opportunity to challenge established foldable-phone makers, including Samsung and Huawei, worldwide today.

Store availability may vary as Apple manages limited launch-day inventory.
