Future has returned to the top of the Billboard 200 with “The Real Me.” The album debuted at No. 1 with 131,000 equivalent album units. The achievement gives the rapper his 12th chart-topping album.

“We have seen the future of who’s moving up in the list of artists contending to have the most No. 1 albums ever, and its name is Future,” Billboard reported.

The new milestone moves Future into fifth place on the all-time list of artists with the most No. 1 albums. He previously shared the spot with Eminem, who has 11 chart-toppers. Only the Beatles, Drake, Taylor Swift and Jay-Z rank ahead of him.

Olivia Rodrigo’s “You Look Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love” held steady at No. 2. The album earned 96,000 units in its fifth week.

Streaming Drives Success

Streaming powered most of Future’s opening-week numbers. “The Real Me” sold 13,000 copies. It also generated 120.29 million on-demand streams. Those streams translated into 118,000 streaming-equivalent album units.

The strong streaming performance helped the album secure a comfortable lead over the rest of the chart.

Rolling Stones and ‘Heated Rivalry’ Enter Top 10

The Rolling Stones also scored a top-10 debut. Their album “Foreign Tongues” entered at No. 7 with 53,000 equivalent album units. Traditional sales fueled most of that total, with 48,500 copies sold.

The “Heated Rivalry” soundtrack arrived at No. 9 with 41,000 units. Billboard noted that “this marked the first time a TV soundtrack had bowed in the top 10 in more than a decade, specifically, since the ‘Empire’ soundtrack did it in 2015.”

Fans drove the soundtrack’s performance through physical purchases. The release sold 41,000 copies on CD and vinyl after its earlier digital launch.

Other Top 10 Albums

Morgan Wallen’s “I’m the Problem” finished at No. 3, while Ella Langley and Noah Kahan claimed the No. 4 and No. 5 spots. Drake landed at No. 6. Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” took No. 8, and Wallen’s “One Thing at a Time” rounded out the top 10 at No. 10.

Madonna’s “Confessions II,” which debuted at No. 1 last week, dropped out of the top 10.
