A fresh explosion has been reported in the Turkish city of Istanbul today. The Turkish Dogan news agency reported that the explosion occurred at a busy tourist area today.

There are no further details of the bomb attacks but Turkey has increasingly come under terrorist attacks as it blames the PKK for most of the attacks.

Turkey has stepped up attacks against PKK positions in Syria.
