Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ojo has humorously hit back at Tanzanian fans asking her to “free” her husband, Bongo Flava star Juma Jux, after noticing his weight loss.
The comments began after Jux attended the widely publicised wedding of Nigerian influencers Jarvis and Peller, where fans observed that he appeared significantly slimmer than they remembered.
The concern soon turned into a playful #FreeJumaJux campaign, with some Tanzanian fans linking the singer’s slimmer physique to his marriage to Priscilla.
One commenter wrote, “Free Jux. He’s a big artist, and seeing him lose so much weight so suddenly is really worrying and painful for his fans.”
Several others took to the couple’s social media pages to urge Priscilla to “leave their brother alone”, with some expressing concern about Jux’s transformation.
Priscilla, however, appeared unfazed by the comments and responded to critics with humour.
In one exchange, the influencer quipped, “second belle don enter,” a Nigerian expression often used jokingly to suggest that someone has gained weight or is enjoying good food and comfort in marriage.
Her response suggested that she saw Jux’s changed appearance as nothing to worry about and was happy with the attention his new physique had attracted.
Screenshots of the exchange have since circulated widely online, drawing mixed reactions. While some fans found the exchange amusing, others defended the couple and criticised what they described as excessive scrutiny of Jux’s physical appearance.
Jux has previously addressed questions about his slimmer physique, saying he is happy with his current body. His sister, Fatima, has also defended his transformation and his relationship with Priscilla.
