Former Osun State Governor and APC leader, Chief Adebisi Akande, has called on Nigerian universities to focus on producing graduates with employable skills that drive economic development.
Speaking at his Ila-Orangun residence while hosting Ekiti State University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Babatola Ayodele, and his team, Akande emphasized the need for education to align with global competitiveness.
He criticized awarding degrees without practical skills, advocating for a curriculum focused on national growth.
EKSU’s VC highlighted the institution’s emphasis on skill acquisition to ensure graduates are well-prepared for meaningful careers.
