Senator Adenigba Fadahunsi of Osun East has urged federal and state governments to prioritize large-scale rice production to reduce reliance on imports and strengthen the naira.

Speaking in Ilase-Ijesa during the distribution of 3,000 bags of rice to his constituents, Fadahunsi highlighted the economic benefits of meeting local rice consumption demands.

He noted that reducing foreign exchange spent on rice imports would help stabilize the currency and make rice more affordable.

Fadahunsi also called for collaborative efforts to enhance food production and alleviate economic hardships, pledging continued support for his constituents.
