The Governor of Adamawa State, Umaru Fintiri and his entourage have been accused of not submitting themselves to the necessary temperature checks and other safety protocols stipulated by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) during their arrival at the Port Harcourt airport. The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) claimed that the team who came to receive the governor and his entourage merely drove right through the barricades up to the terminal building thereby violating traffic, the Aviation Security Instructions and the NCDC guidelines.
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has therefore released a statement condemning the actions of the Governor and his entourage and also issues a note of warning to all, including esteemed VIPs, to always subject themselves to all directives which have been put in place to ensure the safety of Nigerians.
