Apple Music has named Nigerian singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Elinala as the latest artist in its Up Next programme in Nigeria.

The announcement marks a major milestone for the Jos-born artist. Over the past few years, she has gained attention for her blend of Afrobeats, contemporary R&B, pop and soul. Through her music, she explores themes of love, grief, healing, vulnerability and resilience.

Reacting to the recognition, Elinala said: “Being selected for Apple Music’s Up Next Nigeria is an incredible honour, and I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity. Speaking about the project, she said: “‘Waves & Tides’ feels like the truest description of my music. I was inspired by my love for nature and the waves of emotions I was feeling—from grief, love and everything in between. My music moves the same way. It takes you on a journey through different rhythms, sounds, currents, emotions, highs and lows, while still speaking to your soul.”
