It’s purple tonight! Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) host, stepped out in a regal deep purple velvet agbada by D29 Africa for Sunday’s eviction show.
“This is where we tell you to give it up for royal purple!” The television host has become known for his striking eviction-night fashion choices, and his latest look added another memorable outfit to his BBNaija wardrobe.
Ebuka’s agbada was photographed against the backdrop of a private jet hangar, bringing traditional Nigerian tailoring into a contemporary setting.
The outer layer featured rich velvet fabric with vertical beaded embroidery running down the back. The detailing added texture to the outfit, becoming more pronounced as the host moved.
Underneath, Ebuka wore a tonal jacquard tunic and matching trousers, maintaining the deep purple colour palette throughout the ensemble.
He completed the traditional look with a structured Yoruba fila made from the same brocade fabric. The choice helped tie the different textures together while keeping the velvet agbada as the centrepiece.
For accessories, Ebuka layered long black stone neck beads with silver spacer accents and added a matching bracelet. He also wore gradient aviator sunglasses with gold frames, giving the traditional ensemble a contemporary edge.
Black tasselled loafers with ribbed metallic silver heels completed the look.
Ebuka’s appearance comes as viewers await another eviction from the BBNaija house, with the host once again combining Nigerian traditional fashion with modern styling.
