D’Prince Speaks Against Cyberbullying

D’Prince has stirred conversations online after taking a firm stand against cyberbullying, toxic fan culture, and what he describes as the growing business of online hate within the entertainment space.

The music executive and Jonzing World boss expressed concern about a rising trend in which controversy and negativity are being used to drive attention and profit across digital platforms. According to him, some media pages and podcasts are increasingly leaning into “paid narratives” and targeted attacks rather than balanced or responsible commentary.

“Cyberbullying has increasingly become a dangerous business model in Nigeria,” he wrote, warning that engagement should not be built on tearing people down or spreading false narratives for clout.

D’Prince also highlighted the pressure entertainers face while managing public expectations, personal struggles, and career demands, stressing that no level of online engagement should come at the cost of someone’s mental health or dignity. He added that the line between free speech and cyberbullying is becoming thinner, especially in the age of constant online reactions.

He called for more accountability and professionalism in digital media, urging creators and audiences alike to choose empathy over cruelty. Behind online personalities, he noted, are real people often dealing with private battles away from public view.
