Nigerian music star Davido has announced that his new single, ‘I Know Who I Be’, will be released on June 26.

The Grammy-nominated artist shared the news on his X page on Monday. He also revealed that the song features Jazzwrld and GL_Ceejay.

“The journey to the throne begins. My next single I Know Who I Be releases June 26th,” he wrote.

The announcement marks a return to solo releases for the Afrobeats star. He has released a few personal singles in recent months.

The new track comes weeks after Davido performed at the opening concert of the 2026 FIFA World Cup countdown series in Los Angeles.

It also follows his announcement in May that he was taking a temporary break from making music.

‘I Know Who I Be’ will be his first solo release since ‘Be There Still’, which dropped on March 7, 2025.

His latest appearance was on TxC’s song ‘Nakupenda’, where he featured as a guest artist.

Born David Adeleke, Davido rose to fame in 2012 with ‘Dami Duro’. The song was the second single from his debut album, ‘Omo Baba Olowo’.

He later released other successful projects, including ‘A Good Time’ (2019), ‘A Better Time’ (2020), and ‘Timeless’ (2023).

Davido is also the founder of DMW. He launched the record label in April 2016. The label has helped develop several musical talents over the years.

Fans now await the release of ‘I Know Who I Be’ on June 26.
