12 people have reportedly been killed in a crane collapse at a construction site in China. The crane collapsed on a part of the construction site being used as a dormitory by the workers on site.

Firefighters and rescue workers are on the scene of the accident as 14 people have been reportedly rushed to the hospital with injuries. 69 people reportedly escaped injury while two people remain unaccounted for.

It remains unclear the cause of the crane collapse as today’s incident once again puts safety records in China under intense scrutiny.
