The Democratic Party primaries in America is capturing hearts and attention within and outside the country.
Former U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is mounting a second campaign for a Democratic Party presidential nomination and will hope to make history as America’s first female president.
Before achieving that dream though, she will be faced with the task of beating Bernie Sanders to the nomination. Although Clinton holds the lead in the number of delegates and Super delegates, Bernie Sanders has forced enough significant victories to realistically keep him in the running.
Sanders and his supporters will consider Saturday night one of their biggest coups as he won the primaries in Washington, Alaska and Hawaii, all with margins thought to be above 70%.
His win in Ohio last week also saw him win a victory which many hadn’t projected. It’s still too close to call so maybe it’s time we held our breath.
