Nollywood movies often do not enjoy a great review from Nigerians as many complain about cliché storylines, poor production, costumes or acting skill.
According to many, they prefer seeing a foreign movie to a home-made one but it seems like only Nigerians feel this way as foreigners tend to be more accepting of Nollywood movies.
A few hours ago, American writer, Roxane Gay called Nigerian comedy Chief Daddy, a great movie, recommending it to anyone who may be interested in seeing it.

But some Nigerians replied the writer that the movie was bad, stating the cliché storylines.
Reacting to the comments, Roxane slammed the Nigerian commenters, telling them that some American movies are as clichéd as Chief Daddy.
