Al-Shabab fighters launched an audacious attack on an African Union Peacekeeping base in Somalia today.

The Al-shabab fighters detonated a car bomb before dozens of them fired their way into the base run by Kenyan troops.

There is no official confirmation on the number of casualties as reports indicate that fighting is still ongoing.

Al-Shabab claimed responsibility for the attack after disclosing on radio that its fighters had breached an African Union military base.
