The star-studded event featured stylish outfits, heartfelt prayers, music and memorable moments. Among the highlights were Shade Okoya’s look, Funke Akindele’s prayer and K1 De Ultimate’s energetic performance.
Shade Okoya makes a stylish appearance
Shade Okoya, wife of billionaire businessman Razaq Okoya, attended the celebration with her son, Sir Raheem.
She looked stunning in a chic outfit that matched the colour chosen for guests at the event. Her appearance added glamour to the gathering.
Lateef and Mo Bimpe also caught attention with their traditional outfits.
Their first look featured detailed designs of birds perched on a tree. They later changed into a simple white and brown outfit decorated with beads.
Funke Akindele offers heartfelt prayer
Several Nollywood stars attended the thanksgiving. They included Funke Akindele, Mercy Aigbe, Bukky Wright, Jide Awobona, Foluke Daramola and Eniola Badmus.
Singer Waje was also among the guests.
Earlier in the day, Akindele visited the couple before the main ceremony. She offered a heartfelt prayer for Lateef and Mo Bimpe as they celebrated the birth of their children.
K1, Segun Johnson entertain guests
The event also featured live musical performances.
Popular performer Segun Johnson thrilled guests with his performance. Fuji legend K1 De Ultimate later took over the stage with an energetic performance.
The couple’s entrance and dance also added to the memorable moments at the celebration.
The thanksgiving followed months of public interest in the couple’s journey to parenthood.
Days before the event, Lateef reflected on the challenges they faced. He wrote, “The mockery. The lies. The stigma. The assumptions. The things said behind our backs and sometimes right to our faces.
“There was a time when the whispers were louder than our prayers. There were moments we could have fought back. Moments we could have explained ourselves. Moments we could have tried to prove people wrong. But we chose silence. Because we knew something they didn’t… Allah was writing our story.”
