Madonna’s manager has cast doubt on whether the pop icon will return to the road, even as excitement builds following her Coachella appearance and upcoming album release.
Speaking after Madonna’s surprise performance with Sabrina Carpenter, longtime manager Guy Oseary admitted, “I’m not sure yet,” when asked if a tour is in the works.
The uncertainty comes despite growing anticipation fueled by the announcement of her new album, Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part II, and her nostalgic return to the Coachella stage. While fans have been hopeful, Oseary emphasised that the decision ultimately depends on Madonna herself. “I want to see her happy, so whatever makes her happy, I’m all there,” he said.
Oseary revealed that the Coachella collaboration was artist-driven. “Madonna told me that she and Sabrina talked about it,” he said. “It was not my idea. It was a brilliant idea, and I think the core of it is what was shown last night, which is love.”
Reflecting on the performance, he added, “Last night was just… I mean, I don’t think my feet touched the ground. It was so beautiful. I loved seeing the joy that she had. It was emotional. That opening was spectacular…It was a really special night, and it was our 20th [Coachella] anniversary.”
