There are a lot of people who don’t say out loud when it comes to relationships, and Tems just tapped into one of those truths. Speaking on toxic love, she shared how easy it is for people to mistake need for genuine love, especially when they haven’t done the inner work on themselves.
She explained that almost everyone has experienced being with someone who doesn’t even realise they’re toxic. According to her, some people say “I love you,” but don’t actually understand what love means because they don’t even love themselves. In those situations, what they feel isn’t real love; it’s more about dependency or filling something missing inside them.
tems pointed out that this kind of attachment is usually temporary. real love, she said, is steady and intentional, not just a fleeting emotion. If it comes and goes based on mood or convenience, then it’s not love.
